I use TheBat! 3.8. It looks and works perfectly. I never trust to Outlook and internal browsers' clients.

TheBat sounds interesting! Never heard of that one. I am currently using outlook proffessional 2007 beta. Bit of a memory hog, but apart from that it's okay as far as M$ goes.

Thunderbird`s pretty good, run by the Firefox people.

Thunderbird - has not Help menu, dial-up options (own), bad contact management compating with thebet and especially Outlook.
I use TheBat, but 3.0 version

I can't get to using any of these softwares. I just use the web based ones

The advantage with the web based ones is that they can be accessed from another computer if you are away from home. For speed though I prefer not to use them at `normal` times.

Web-based? Do you mean HTTP? But when you need to find a message in your mailbox - you have to connect to the internet, and to find in your mailbox. I think it takes time. I always use some e-mail clients. Outlook is very advisable, also TheBat. I never used Mozilla thunderbird, bu heard it's pretty good.

Are you reaferring to Outlook Express, Thunderbird (Mozilla) when you say mail softwares? The web based mail programs are ones like gmail, hotmail, safe-mail and so on.
A big advantage with web base emails is that you can access them from other computers, whereas with OE etc you can`t. Some also say that web based emails are more secure, and less liable to attacks.
