No, very few actually list MLMs, most list matrixes. MLMs have real products, a matrix does not.

Yes, you are right, cjx01, MLM`s do take much more effort on the part of members in order to be successful.

I`m constantly surprised nowadays by the lack of interest that seems to be shown in MLM`s compared to HYIP`s and Cyclers, but I think that`s down to a number of reasons.

I believe that MLM stands for multi level marketing where you earn a commission on th sales of your downline.

MLMs are not just programs, they are a way of life. In addition to the products the MLM offers, there's the best advertising MLM, the best Safelist MLM, the best Mailing List MLM, the best e-zine MLM, the best free website MLM, the best hosting MLM, the best popup script MLM, the best popup blocker MLM, the best sales letter MLM, the best email blaster MLM, Hypnotic selling MLM, etc., ad nauseum. There's always another next great thing to come along.
There are quite a few hard core and successful MLMers out there. I wish them well and continued success.
I'll stick with online investing/HYIPs and exchanging. You can disclaim the "claims". The programs fail. Some succeed and you make much better returns than recruiting a downline forever in MLM.
You just start over and over. You learn, You lose. You gain. You move on. It is the way of the Internet and perhaps also a way of life.
But much simpler. (IMHO).

I agree that it is a good site, however there is a disclaimer in their Top 20 list that the ranking is determined by the number of people in that business with a paid advertisement on that site.

In my opinion, all that identifies is companies that have people willing to pay for advertisement on that site.

Personally, I look around forums and do searches and then locate the company homepage to get the genuine details.

I have tried several MLM's before but there are only 2 companies that gave me big income.. (but quit with them)..

Cognigen Communications - I'd been a top 56 seller last Match 2003
Six Figure Income - got almost $1200 in sales last 2003 and 2004

You can join for free as an affiliate in both programs.. I quit because I found hard time selling products lately..

Had a very bad experience with cashculture sucks!

SFI was one of my first online experiences, but although I did receive several cheques off them over the months I found that to get to the level to draw income I was having to spend too much with them.

Your $1200 in sales, yakuza, sounds pretty good. I`m sure that those who are close to the top of the SFI tree do pull in some serious money. When I was more involved with MLM`s I heard a lot about them, but now I rarely do.

The worst part about MLM is the disappearing downlines. The hype is that you get so many sign-ups and then they get people and your matrix grows. The reality is that you are constantly having to find new people this month to put under the people who joined last month or they quit.

I can't post this message enough when it comes to mlms or any biz opportunity don't every pay anything up front. why would a company need you to pay for the priveledge oto market their products, only because you are not likely to sell any. Small fees to help pay for webistes and other neccessities are one thing but don't ever pay just to be a rep, that's a big red flag. I only use free programs and am quite happy with my income. Currently my main income source is a program you can view at www.primelion.freestoreclub.com
