People say It's not difficult to earn money, but one has to work hard.

But I see a lot of posts on this forum from people having a really hard time generating an income online.

The statistics both online and off is that 95% of people fail when setting up their business.

Some one say that it hard accomplishing their goal while others tell that the number one reason people fail in MLM, is because of training so they don't know what they are doing.

Do you have any other opinion?

Not so much training as common sense, a good product and constant changes with the Internet. Marketing is tough. A person has to constantly follow the trends and get into the best marketing scheme they can afford, that makes SENSE. Many people buy products they will never use, for lack of knowledge, experience or support. Most people starting a business online are short on supply.
The reason most people fail on or offline is undercapitalization, MLMs are no exception. People who seriously follow MLM programs have to be able to spend their own funds to advertise everywhere to build a downline and so on. Lacking capitalization, they are then attracted to programs that may offer bogus hits or downline members, or even programs that appear to offer a capital infusion by some method. (Matrices come to mind).
Offline businesses present similar business to business marketing opportunities, many not worth the time or money, but seem good at the time.
It seems discouraging, but sometimes a product or service can make profit on the merits of word of mouth. That only happens by customer referral incentives and a product or service which lives up to the 'claims'.
