Hello Everyone, Time to bring you all up to speed on what has been going on. We had hired a professional server support and maintenance company to go in and completely audit our server configuration, begin installing all the security and protection tools at their disposal, and hardening our server to the maximum security levels possible. However, within minutes before they were to begin, we were hit with a full-scale frontal attack. Lighthalzen’s e-gold account was blocked, and their site was attacked by a bot that created 20,000 registered accounts on their database. Then, IM was hit with another massive SQL attack, which flooded out connections within seconds. Almost simultaneously, our server was hit with a massive DDOS attack, which affected both programs. Between the Level 3 router and the upstream provider the router/firewall, blocked all incoming traffic to prevent a network overload. The attack subsided for a time and the block was removed, giving our server support team time to start their work. But as soon as our sites appeared online, the attacks began even more ferociously. The block was imposed again, which effectively made it impossible for our server support technicians located, in the U.S., to access the server to complete their work. We had not released this information previously in order to not alert the attackers that we were working to block the attacks. However, this attack has been relentless and sustained since Friday. This is now a general problem affecting the entire network, so we have been waiting for the upstream provider to take the appropriate steps and cannot do anything until then. But we feel that at this that everyone should know what has been transpiring. Everyone is currently still working on a solution, but we cannot give you a definitive time as to when this will be resolved. Hang in there. We won't give up. |
| This is an update for the program that LightHalzen is sharing a server with. It explains exactly what is going on with both sites. Since the admins of both programs are very supportive of each other,... |

update: Apparently The Security Update We Had Today Caused The Site To Be Unaccessible To Some People. It Has Somewhere Somehow Blocked Off/ Denied Access To Most Traffic. What We Thought Will Keep Out Bad Traffic Backfired Instead. Nonetheless, We Will Try To Resolve This Matter Asap And Are Getting Our Tech Side To Look Into The Reason Of Such Conflict. Deposits Will Be Disabled In The Mean Time Till Problem Is Resolved. And If This Is Not Solved By Midnight, Cronjob Wont Be Able To Run, So We Will Have To Migrate Deposits To Tomorrow And Take It From There. Sorry For This Unexpected Turn Of Event Which We Truly Deeply Wish For It Not To Have Happened But It Has. Sorry For Disappointing You Guys Once Again. We Really Are Trying Our Very Best Here. We Request Everyone To Remain Clam And Understanding, We As Admins Never Wished For This To Happen Either. Please Post This Update In Other Forums/ Inform Your Downlines. |

This post was made by Knight Joverh of LightHalzen which we feel that should be viewed by all: **************************************** Security is being stressed as an extreme importance and a top priority. Like i do i\\\'m sure all of you want lighthalzen up and running as smooth as possible. Never before have i seen an hyip take off as rapidly as LightHalzen. Unfornately, for Lemon and Unsaid hackers and evil doers are trying like never before to destroy the site. So why aren\\\'t the other hyips and autosurfs being targeted like this? For those who have been around the block when it comes to hyips and surfs.. we all know the most successful sites are the ones being targeted. So you may ask .. why haven\\\'t all the security measures been in place when the site began. There have been plenty of security measures in place but the truth is no one knew including the admins themselves the amount of success this site would have and the length attackers would go. As Lemon pointed out the attackers probably have spent 50K trying to take down the site. How could anyone fathom something like this would happen. So, the security measures that are taken have to be to the utmost extreme. So yes we must wait a couple more days. Afterwards lighthalzen will be stronger than ever. The membership here has been one of the most supportive that i\\\'ve ever seen. Why is it so supportive you might ask? Because of the concept, because of the passion the 2 admins shown in this and other forums, because of the creativity, because of the innovative custom programming coding that has never been seen, because of the publicity it\\\'s receiving from around the internet reaching videocasts of ASA(http://www.asamonitor.com/newscast.html) and 24surf(http://www.24surfmonitor.com/new/video.php). Most of you know everything that i\\\'m saying it is true. But this message is mostly for the newbies, the ones who are skeptical because they\\\'ve been taken for a ride and been scammed or those who have not been following this thread and don\\\'t have time to read 900 pages. So, please everyone continue your support as you have. We all know that lighthalzen is the cateogory of elite hyips and seriously could be the most popular and successful hyip of 2007. **************************************** Please keep yourself updated here: http://got-paid-forum.com/index.php?showtopic=3004 http://www.moneymakergroup.com/inde...howtopic=132249 |

LIGHTHALZEN'S NEW HOMEPAGE What is LightHalzen? LightHalzen is a one-stop-centre for e-book purchases while functioning as an advertising and traffic exchange portal. We help our members and customers generate traffic to their websites though paid emails and advertisement slots. We are currently the hottest spot for advertising! Advertise with us and watch your traffic soar and sales figure sizzle as all of our registered ever-growing database of members will be viewing your ads while doing their daily ads viewing. We also offer a very lucrative opportunity to our members who have purchased e-books with us through our rebate based system devised on a profit sharing concept. Do check out also our Lotto Potto section where you can try your luck by playing real small and winning real BIG! What is Profit Sharing? Profit sharing is a new-age model which shares out income generated from e-books and ads sales on the site in form of rebates to its members. This model does not use a fixed based earnings/time span model where you are entitled to receive a return in a fixed amount of time. With the fixed based earnings/timespan, new income needs to come in constantly daily or else the program will run out of funds to pay out to the members leaving them with a partial or total loss. In LightHalzen, you just keep earning rebates on your purchases till you reach the max of 150%, because the system never runs dry. This way the risk of losing out next to the fixed earnings/time span model is next to zero. You may also refer new members and enjoy a 3% referral bonuses on your referrals total unit purchase. How it Works? To profit with us, you need to buy shares in the program. After your share purchase have been confirmed, you will be brought to a page where you can pick an e-book of your choice. Each unit is $1. You will keep earning the daily rebates on each unit until you have earned 150% of the unit back. So for every $1 unit you purchase, you will get back $1.50. You keep on earning daily until you reach 150%. The daily rebates will depend on the Daily LSP [Live Share Percentage] and your knight level. The Daily LSP is calculated based on income generated by the site which includes sales of e-books, advertisement slots, banner impressions, paid emails and also lotto sales. IMPORTANT: In order to get the daily rebates, you must view at least 5 ads daily by clicking the "View Ads" tab in your members area. 75% of the program's Daily Income generated from e-books and ads sales are paid out as the daily rebates on each unit and this is shown as the Daily LSP amount in the statistics box. However, for the stability of this program, the Daily LSP will be set at a max cap of 15%. Any excess will be spilled over to the following day's LSP. 12% is stored as Reserve Fund so as to help boost the Daily LSP during slow days. 9% is used for Hosting, Advertising, Site Maintenance and Admin costs. 3% is used to pay out Referral Bonuses. 1% is to be split among the Supreme Knights [members who repurchase 100% or more of their daily payouts]. What is the Twist? Why Profit Sharing? You may ask. Well this is because we truly believe its a workable system, just needs to be revamped, thats all. And, that's why we came up with LightHalzen, a profit sharing system with a twist signifying the dawn of a new era. The very reason why a Profit Sharing System would fail is due to the lack of repurchase ie being ravaged by hit-and-runners. However, its quite obvious as to why one would be afraid to repurchase. They fear that they stand to lose and have their purchases stuck in the site for a long, long time. Hit-and-Runners have long been the main blame for the downfall of any program. But, we strongly believe that if one is staring at a long term lucrative opportunity, one would not desire to hit-and-run at all. There have been many solutions out there in the industry from capping daily spend, capping daily ROI to lowering total ROI and so forth. All these only merely delay the problem at hand. What we truly need is to tackle the root of the problem: lack of repurchase! One way is to enforce a 50/50 rule. However, this would be coercion. As we support free-will, we do not wish to take that route. What we have implemented is a 'double standard system' through different knight levels. With this in place, repurchasing is left to the sole discretion of members. Just that with a strong system in place, we have made the choice really easy for our members. 1) TO REPURCHASE - You will earn your rebates 2X FASTER. - You will earn way more rebates in the long run. 2) TO NOT REPURCHASE - You will still get your rebates but 2X SLOWER. - You will earn way less rebates due to your one time purchase. The right choice is very obvious. But the choice is in your hands. Start buying E-books Today! |

I understood LH was not going to be turned on until 4/26, and upgrades are disabled. Essentially, no one is making money at this time? Does the admin have all accounts updated? I've notice some problems with credit for upgrades made when the site was more down than up, before it was taken down. I appreciate what you are saying mygirl123 about making changes to ensure LH is not seen as a ponzi, however it has changed from the original format and some may no longer be interested. Has anyone noticed refunding activity or seen replies from the admins about this? |
| - If some lose interest in this program due to the changes, I can only imagine that this would be because they now have to log in each day and perform a few tasks. The earning is still the same. Missing a day will not affect the end result. When you don't view the ads on one day, your upgrades are simply put on hold until you do. Each upgrade will still yield 150%. |

On the other hand you've said, " Missing a day will not affect the end result." Are you really saying that interest is not lost, it is just "put on hold" until the 'tasks' are completed? I withhold opinion about this being a "giant". |

Dear Knights, It has been a short 3 hours since we have gone LIVE and we are proud to announce that the LSP have once again hit the 15% MAX LSP. Purchases are pouring in with no signs of slowing down which clearly indicates the faith members have towards LightHalzen which in no way was affected by the downtime due to the major overhaul. So, if you have not made your purchases, you may proceed to do so to earn the 15% MAX LSP of the day. Please do not forget to view at least 5 ads by clicking the 'View Ads' tab in your members area to be eligible for the rebates. Rebate payouts will resume tomorrow after midnight server time. Thank you for all your patience and understanding, we are now back stronger than ever! Long Live LightHalzen! Sincerely, LightHalzen Team ***************************************** Check out the coolest get paid to post forum on the planet! http://got-paid-forum.com/ |

Alright guys, this will be a simple update, a detailed one will be mass emailed out later after payouts. Amidst current development of the e-gold drama, LightHalzen Administration have decided to take precautionary measures to prevent future unfortunate events, as we do not want to take chances with member's money. LH will be immediately put on hold, pending the following: 1) A decision within the next few hours will be made as to which payment processor will be used as our BACKUP payment processor. You guys will be informed after this decision so you have time to prepare your funding options. Nonetheless, E-Gold will still remain as one of the payment option available. 2) After complete integration of the new payment processor into the script. Payouts for today will be completed, so please hang on to your payouts and not make donations to scammers out there. And of course don't forget to post and vote once paid. And please keep other forums and your downlines updated. A detailed update will be mass emailed to members shortly. And ... and in case anyone wondering why not let the site run? Amidst integration of the new payment processors, there may be problem with upgrades. So the site must be put on hold. In the meantime, people are getting wary of e-gold, not about its legal issues as it will take months to resolve but the users, exchangers and programs who are cutting ties with e-gold. This may adversely affect the e-book sales at LightHalzen. ![]() And we are also getting voluminous tickets requesting for additional payment processors. Hang in there knights, just waiting for confirmation from the programmer, before we email. And with all the testing that will be going on to ensure the integration is smooth, upgrades will probably end up only being enabled on Monday. Well, today is a Sunday, so go out have fun, spend some quality time with your family and friends. When you come back, an email update could be sitting in your inbox already

Dear Knights, We are extremely delighted to present you the promised LightHalzen Stage 3 Revamp: Eternity Rocks! Foresight, looking ahead is whats needed to succeed in this industry instead of retrospecting on events and regretting on what should have/could have been done in hindsight. We have seen the demise of some Giants in this industry lately coming up with solutions in the 11th hour when their program is already in the brink of collapse or worse yet, collapsed. If at all, one should learn from these mistakes and not only think far ahead but act in advance. Hence, at LightHalzen, we are going to do things in the reverse. These are the changes that will take effect immediately: 1) Max total rebates per share will be dropped from 150% to 120% 2) Daily MAX LSP limit of 15% will be dropped to 5% 3) Referal bonuses will be dropped from 3% to 1% (as announced before) Right now we are at our peak averaging around 50-100 sign ups per day. We are growing at a consistent rate and this change is not going to halt the growth of our site whatsoever. If at all, implementing these changes at this juncture will boost the longevity and stability of LightHalzen beyond our wildest dreams. Our extensive advertising and promotion campaign is attracting investors from all over, thus expect the site to expand even further. Moreover, having an impeccable fast paying record for 27 days with LSP at its max 15% daily in itself has put LightHalzen on the Spotlight! Which is why we feel that implementing this change right now is better than doing it few months down the road. Don't be too focused on the present, instead, look forward into the future where this change could well possibly be the sole reason that make LH last for months or years ahead. I'm giving credit to my knights that this implementation will be embraced by all for the good of LightHalzen's future. LightHalzen Stage 3 Revamp: Eternity Rocks! Extremely Excited & Yours Truly, LightHalzen Team |

Our Beloved Knights and Knightresses, We bring this unfortunate news with a laden heart. This is going to be a detailed and an honest email filling you in on the 'behind the scenes' that we admins went through for the past 2-3months, so please take the time to read it. First off, our heartfelt gratitude goes out to alot of you who supported us through thick and thin and believed in us by re-purchasing and promoting our site. Thank you for the trust and confidence you have placed in our unique Knight system. Its a great concept which fell prey to many variables and did not reach its full potential. Purchases and new membership did not trickle in as expected past few weeks especially after the egold situation. On hindsight, as many of our knights know, we went through many obstacles from host complains and moving servers multiple times to false accusations to egold and having many of our egold accounts blocked then and even now. Even when we paid promptly everyday the site was up, we were victims of fake bad votes. There was also trolling especially from members who are paid and are in profit. The biggest blow of all were the 22 days of incessant DDoS attacks that took us offline for almost 2 weeks and put a dent on our success. Nevertheless, we paid for top-notch security which kept the site online despite the continued DDoS attacks. However, our worst fear came true and it was all a little too late by then. Up until the DDoS attacks, site was doing phenomenally well to the extent that if that exponential growth had continued without any disruptions, we would have build up a reserve so huge that it would have helped LightHalzen sustain for many months down the road. Even after engaging Black Lotus Anti-DDoS package, we were still being heavily DDoSed and site had to sustain further downtime. This time around, new members especially those who just joined our esteemed Knighthood, confidence amongst them diminished substantially and started to withdraw their rebates just to exit out of the program. Unfortunately momemtum lost from then on. Even then, we admins persevered and embarked on an extensive advertising and promotional campaign all over monitors and numerous forums. The quest to succeed was driving us forward. Ultimately, the biggest unexpected blow was the news of egold indictment. Egold being our only payment processor until then caused a major impact on our program as many in the industry went on a panic mode pulling their funds out and even members didn't re-purchase as much as they used to. The egold fiasco had a ripple effect on the industry as a whole which further crushed the momentum as new membership was at a standtill and this only further crippled the site. After the egold drama, things did not pick up as we had hoped and thats when we finally dug into the reserve pool of funds. This was necessary as we were not at the stage to allow the LSP to dip below the MAX LEVEL. If we did not do what we did, there would have been a total loss of momentum which would have resulted in the sudden death of the site back then. We were hoping that the panic mode would die down but if you recalled, our thread at MMG was turned into an egold discussion thread. Fear and uncertainty was rampant in the air. The first course of action we took was to quickly add another payment processor E-Bullion, hoping in vain that things would pick up. Unfortunately, this move did not bring about the results we had hoped for and we had depleted our reserves by then. Which was why Stage 3 Revamp was vital but this led to a major uproar amongst the masses who started pulling out from the program. Our next move was to add Alertpay but even then, we admins ended up using all of our admin funds to help boost the program, hoping in vain once again that the situation would improve with stable rates and cycle the shares out. As its evident, its been a constant long drawn out battle for us admins with tons of variables which were beyond our control but yet, we kept coming up with various solutions and never once gave up hope. Someone else in our shoes would have bailed out long ago. We were determined to run this site which was why we continued embarking on our advertising and promotional campaign, buying banners and sponsoring vidcasts. Disgruntled members due to the reduced max LSP did not wish to vote anymore. Paying promptly did not matter anymore as people were more into high risky ROI gambling. Even after 2 weeks of max 5% LSP, site still failed to show any improvement and since reserves were depleted completely, we could not complete our payouts yesterday as we had to wait the following day's purchases to clear the previous day's rebates. When current purchases and reserves are in negative and with purchases not trickling in as expected, we are left with no option but to close the doors of our beloved Castle. Some may wonder, this is a Profit Share site, why not just let LSP take a dip? This wont work out, because it will just cause a domino effect where the next day is 1% followed by 0.1% then 0.01%. If LightHalzen was launched last year, we might have succeeded. However, factors beyond our control such as the egold fiasco is something we never anticipated to hit us as hard as it did. This has been a great learning curve especially in terms of getting the best security and which ads and promotions bring about maximum exposure for a site but most importantly, we had the pleasure and feel blessed to have met some of the best people left standing in this industry. We would fondly miss our [milk] Mods and many of our superb Knights to which we can not thank enough. May God Bless all of you with abundance of wealth and good health. Refunds would be impossible as reserves have been depleted to a negative level. And for those who wish to audit our egold accounts, please feel free to email us for login details. We admins will still be around the forums and please accept our apology for those who incurred losses. We will still be here to answer any queries and concern you might have and are not going anywhere. Sincerely, LightHalzen Team |

Knights of LightHalzen, After serious consideration, the LightHalzen Administration have come up with a solution for those who are at lost. LightHalzen will be ressurected on Monday, May 28th 2007 12AM EST (Server Time). All rules will remain the same except for the following changes: 1) All those in profit* will have their account history wiped clean. 2) All those at lost* will have their account history wiped clean also but their lost amount credited as new shares to their account. 3) The rates will remain at 120% MAX REBATES and 5% MAX DAILY LSP. 4) There will be a slight change to the Knight System: ~ Supreme Knight will be getting 100% of Daily LSP ~ White Knight will be getting 50% of Daily LSP ~ Dark Knight will be getting 0% of Daily LSP 5) Payment processors available: E-Gold, E-Bullion, AlertPay Please do not email us whether or not you are at profit/loss as we have already tabulated those who are and those who are not. These sort of emails will not be entertained. A Chance, A Hope, A Future Sincerely, LightHalzen Team ************************************************** ******************* *Profit/Loss will be derived based on your Total Purchased VS Total Paid Out |
