E-dinar has announces new Customer Acceptance Policy

Maybe they are anticipating the opening of a number of new accounts as a result of e-gold's situation, and want to be prepared against any potential headaches.

Here's the email they sent me:

To comply with UAE financial regulations on customer identification and anti-money-laundering e-dinar has introduced a Customer Identification
and Acceptance Policy (CAP).

We would like to ask you to send a certified copy of your passport to
the following address:

Please be advised that we grant our customers a total delay of three
months from the first notice sent out on May 10 to comply with e-dinar's
new Customer Acceptance Policy (CAP). In other words, we expect to receive the certified copy of your passport at the latest by August 10, 2007. You may also visit our website to review e-dinar's new CAP.

Until August 10, 2007, you have the option to outexchange your metal
without providing the required documents. After August 10, 2007, you can
only outexchange your metal following submission of the required passport copy.
