The age of the domain or maintained site is very important for the Google. The number of the years is a good proof for the importance of any site. Maybe you've 5/10 Google PR but there is another page on the Net which is relevant with your site: 4/10 Google PR. Maybe this site have better rankings in the results of Google search engine for your relevant keywords if it's older than your site nevertheless that the Page Rank is lower. So I think the age is very important. The number of pointed quality links to our site is also an important agent. However I'm sure the link-exchange is SUX. Link-exchange is an artificial method which try manipulate the judgment of Google search engine. The many unselfish pointed links to your site is the best way to become a famous webmaster -
Another very important thing: the average browsing time on your site. If it's low according to the Google: your site is not interested for the audience!
