What exactly defines a "private" investment group?

I'm interested in hearing the opinions of others on this.

The term "Private group" or "Private HYIP" is one that I have heard tossed about with alarming regularity over the last 4 years but it has always been contradicted quickly by the existence of factors e.g. substantial websites, advertising etc which have really made the concept of privacy look a little silly.

So, what do you people realy regard as a Private HYIP opportunity?

Any thoughts or comments appreciated.

My initial thoughts on what I term as a private Group is quite simple really :
1) You only get to know about it from a confidential source I.E. a friend that is willing to sponsor you into the same .

2) who personally knows who you are and thinks you are mature enough to handle such a confidence .

3) No website so it cannot be happened on by chance surfing, but good communication between the Admin of the program

4)No referral fees to encourage a weak mind in spamming others with the green eyed monster of greed.
