Programmer needed, C++ or Java

I've got some ideas that seem to be working. MUCH tuning needed.
What I'm looking for, would be extemely valuable to me, and, possibly, later on, others.
An automated forex trading system. (Crazy, yes, but seems worth a try...)
In order to even consider giving it a serious effort, which I feel might be warranted, considering what I've seen so far, it seems to me to be time to give some SERIOUS thought to try automating the system (don't know if I could even call it a 'system' yet, WAY too rough.
The only forex platform that appears to be applicable to this, at least at this point, is Oanda, for several reasons, mainly the fact that trades of $1.00 are allowed (I have limited capital, and it would seem likely that this would not work on a larger scale anyway), and the small 'pip spread' is one of the critical aspects. Oanda fulfills both of those criteria.
However, I'll need the assistance of a programmer. ( I did programming LONG ago, don't want to take the time to learn a new language, and, possibly more critical, my code is always sloppy, and not well documented, which is a MUST here.)
Looks like either Java or C++ would work.
Any suggestions/reasons appreciated. I already have quite a few in mind, but have found it's always better to have an open mind.
My writing lately is kind of disjointed, I know. The thought of something like this has intrigued me ever since I noted the concept (Which I need to attribute to MRWV). I'll be working heavily on this, as it appears, TO ME, to have some good possibilities. Enough to warrant pursuing further.
I'll be working up/refining more ideas, and documenting them. Likely to be long.
Anyway:
Programmer needed (C++ or Java) to assist in the development of an automated forex trading program.
Will need to write a program using an available API---
( see http://fxtrade.oanda.com/fxtrade/api/index.shtml for more details)
working with me (I'm capable of communicating in programming terms, in case some are wondering) to see if it's practical to pursue.
The risks for a programmer willing to work on this?
Basically, time. All financial risks will be taken by me. This will involve testing, that being done on my funds in my accounts, after sufficient 'testing' is done using 'demo' accounts.
The rewards?
IF this turns out to be practical/possible, to help put together a system where ordinary everyday people can use it to trade their OWN funds in their OWN accounts, to generate profits. Payment for services rendered (programming) would be worked out. I have NO idea how much time/effort will be required, but I'm in no rush, just want to do it 'right'. Time is not that much of an issue.
(POSSIBLE, if it 'works', that this 'system' might be profitable as a product, but that's WAY down the road...)
So, if you are, or know someone, who is fluent in English, writes efficient, (working!) well documented code (either C++ or Java), and might be interested in something like this, let me know.
I THINK it can work. Don't KNOW, but there appears to be a chance, and I need some help to take this further.
Looking forward to any/all responses,
Jeff
