There`s still a long way to go in the Olympics, so which country do you think will win the most Gold?

As it is only possible to post a maximum of 10 alternatives I have simply entered the 10 countries which are currently the leaders with Gold Medals won.

And of course there`s still a lot of events still to come, especially in the track and field, so I`m sure a few of those top 10 will drop out by the end of the competition.

For example Great Britain could well end up in the top ten. Oh well, I can dream can`t I?

I think Russia used to always win the medal counts but China seem to have taken the mantle. The Aussies are doing very well for a country with a population of around 20 million

Hi Phil, if you click on this link, the site lists all the Olympics over the last century, and all you have to do is go to the approprate year, and you`ll see a complete table of medals won.

Interesting the US has won the medal counts for the last 2 Olympics, I dont think they will do it in Greece though
