Evocash and Safe-mail?

Evocash site is down, and naturally there`s a lot of speculation as to why that`s so. Various theories are being put forward, as is usually the case when a site goes down. No doubt time will tell.

Interestingly FLO are making a connection between Evocash and Safe-mail, and this is what they are saying about them.

Quote:
We have gotten some information from a very reliable source that Evocash and Safe-mail could be affiliated. I wanted to warn our members because we have promoted Safe-mail to them. It is interesting to think about all of the information that is available in our correspondence. I personally am ceasing to use safe-mail TODAY and will only use PGP encrypted email. The easiest in my opinion is mailvault https://ssl.mailvault.com/ and it is free. We advocated their services early on, but due to some challenges with receiving incoming mails we advised our members to get a safe-mail. Mailvault is performing very nicely now and I recommend you check them out.

I am also deleting all information in my personal safe-mail and changing any passwords I received thru those accounts. I advise you to do the same immediately. The thoughts going thru my mind right now are scarry, has all this information been viewable by parties that I do not trust? Be wise and beware!

Same here, Ken, and it got in my EMO account yesterday and I printed it out today. As they say, "by the hair of the chinny-chin-chin." <whew!>

I have just come from my Evocash Account where I was able to perform several transactions without a single hitch.

I would also like to quote a direct statement from VCMike on the FLO issue, that I find very interesting indeed.

Quote:
Dear Picpay Members,

We have stated our opinion on what we believe to be the
truth in the email you most likely received from us. We have been in
business for over 4 years and will support the efforts of any type of
business that continues to operate in an ethical and professional manner.

We do not plan on debating the FLO issues as we look ahead. If your
opinion of FLO differs from ours than we respect that and will be happy to "agree to disagree" with you.

However, since you asked why we have a problem with FLO we will be happy to give you one reason of many. Consider this FACT: During the month of August, FLO limited their members to a withdrawal limit of $1000.00 a week because of a supposed security issue/hacker with their database. Certainly you were aware of this and were forced to comply with the $1000.00 a week limit. Well during this period, FLO was requesting hundreds of thousands of dollars to go to Russian anonymous debit cards and to various companies, and owned by the same person. Seems odd that a company that has a security
problem and forces their members to comply with a $1000 weekly limit would send so much money to an anonymous debit card doesn't?

You may not want X-Changers as friend if you were in a bind, but FLO
doesn't look like they will be much better....by the way when has FLO said you can start getting profits out again. I think the latest is 4-6 weeks...that is if their website is up long enough to make any transactions.

Regards,

X-Changers

You may interpret this information as you see fit. I find it very disconcerting myself.

Very interesting but does not explain when they intend to return FLO's funds that they have frozen. You may chose not to do business with someone but you can not keep the funds indefinitely.

It has to get you thinking though, doesn`t it?

Is it just down to misunderstandings, or poor business practices by one or other parties?

You have to feel a certain sympathy for the poor guy stuck in the middle. But I know what I would do if I was still with FLO.

In response to the x-changers email, this is what has been said by FLO.
Quote:
1) First, allow me to say this is entirely false. We never requested ANY funds to be sent to ANYONE except the members. We have an agreement with our buyers and only send funds to them and receive funds from them.

2) We are still here! EVOchangers locked up funds, not us.

3) BTW, they, EVO, allowed our accounts with the FULL knowledge we were anonymous and would remain anonymous and they permitted it …until now. They wanted it. We were constantly corralled, encouraged, and persuaded to eliminate e-gold, not use Netpay and stay away from ebullion. Mike has done his utmost to ensure we were in this very position.

4) Mike has been privileged to personal information on a vast number of FLO members. The only funds that have ever gone from FLO thru EVO/X-changers, or any other exchanger, have been directed to do so by members. We have never asked EVO/X-changers or any other exchanger to move funds for us at any time. If Mike is willing to make assumptions about us based on members OE requests …….. He is probably right when he stated …
Quote:You may not want X-Changers as friend …

As matter of fact you may want to seriously question their privacy policy altogether.

5) Out-exchange options should be restored, at least to the 1000 per week limit, by the first part of next week.

We are here and will remain as such. Although we are not accepting additional memberships at this time we will be here to show you all ….

Does anyone else find that a tad unethical posting private transfer information about anybody?

If FLO was indeed doing this (which they claim not to be), it is THEIR business only. If they were doing that to screw their members, it is still THEIR business.

I have never used X-changers, but will never use them in the future.
They don't seem to have any reguard to proper business practices.

LOL X-Changers will be "happy to disagree" and happy to keep the cash.

Yes, Linkz, I share in your opinion that it is a tad unethical, and that's all that's been proven so far.

We did want proof in Nova Lights, though, didn't we!

Well now it seems that Evocash is speaking out on the FLO affair, and posting a series of notices at TalkGold.

If anyone has read the Evocash statement you will see that it is very critical of the FLO Admin. These are my thoughts on this matter as I have expressed them in reply at TG. Perhaps I`m missing something here, but surely there just has to be a way out. Yet sadly it appears that Evocash isn`t ready to enter into any meaningful dialogue, particularly with those who are hurting the most, the investors.

This whole issue between FLO and Evocash is getting more acrimonious with each passing day.

As always though, it seems the guy in the middle is the one who could end up losing out, through no fault of his own.

Trying to take a neutral viewpoint, I have to wonder why Evocash isn`t prepared to release all monies it is now holding, and process these payments as normal. Then, if it still isn`t satisfied with FLO`s procedures/ non-verification or whatever let that be resolved, if possible, after the money is released.

One thing`s for sure, neither side is going of come out of this sorry mess with too much credit.
