Here is the update, as posted at TG

Welcome to The FLO Community Center

As we have stated from the beginning of FreelandOpps, the anonymity and privacy of the grandfather group will never be compromised. The challenges faced by our program have escalated over the last 24 hours to the point that we must take drastic actions.

1. One of our older unused servers with no data has been seized by the authorities. While we are unsure as to the particular details of this, the fact remains we must take immediate action to secure the remainder of our network. This means that the sites will go offline and will remain offline until we can do what is necessary to ensure their protection. When the program is available, it will be a a totally private financial program. We are moving the servers to secure our data, not because we have done anything wrong or illegal.

2. It is very clear to us that ecurrency is not going to be an option to conduct business. This has been clearly demonstrated by the recent actions of Evocash, and now the constant balance limits being placed by E-gold since we re-opened after our recovery efforts. They can not or will not accept our program. This means we have no choice but to move to the more traditional banking arena. While this has always been our ultimate goal, we are just not ready. We are looking at another six to ten weeks of work to get to this point. We will be working in the background diligently to accomplish this, but it is going to take time.

What does this all mean to you as a member? This means that the program is on hold until such time as we can continue to do business. FVG has to get offline for now and when we come back, we will be a private program. This means no inexchanges/outexchanges. This means no access to your accounts until the banking situation is worked out. We have made the decision to continue to have the chat room available for our members. Although limited information will be available, we felt that it was important that we didn't completely disappear.

We know that this is a huge disappointment to our membership and we regret that this has to happen this way. We know that many of you will believe the statements that will certainly by made that we have "gone" or "disappeared" and we understand that. But we can only convey the truth to you and let you decide for yourself. When information is available we will make that available via secured methods to the staff that choose to remain to help members through this trying time. We have made every effort humanly possible to continue FreelandOpps, and we will continue to do so. But for now, we have to do this totally offline. We encourage you to support each other in every way possible and hope to see each and every member on the other side. The private and secure side of our future.

If so, just disclose your real info to the e-currency providers, EVO, e-gold etc, funds will be returned an everything is back to normal, no major issue

you have some point there. Nothing much anyone can do anyway.
Just wait and see....

Surely you jest, Phil.

Yeah, we do have to wait -- although this is quite a "stretch."

On the other hand, you have to wonder, because the ABC Boys were obviously on the lookout.

I wonder how many people have copied & pasted the SEC info from Talk Gold yet? What do you think the fallout will be in the hyip arena in general from yet more complaints like this -- particularly such a "major" one?

I guess that the SEC will get a few complaints initally and not take much notice but being such a large program, this "may" turn into hundereds and thousands of complaints if OEs dont resume in 6 weeks. If that was the case the SEC would just go ahead an freeze all of FLOs e-currencies accounts and start tracing OE transactions and IPs. Its a little different to NL as the whereabouts of where FLO operates from is unknown and would take a lot of investigation to trace it to anyone. As a result the SEC may put a lot of focus on EVO and e-gold and their practices in dealing with the FLO situation

Hi All,

Can't almost imagine HYIP without E-currency, its like Wine without alcohol. I think this is the end of FLO... pity!

This begs the question - what "authorities"? If the location of FLO, FLO's servers, the "Grandfather Group" and the X-man are unknown - what agency stepped in? Is this really true, or just a decoy to take the program offline, then eventually disappear?
Agreed, the SEC may now investigate egold's and EVO's practices, but how far can that go, since they just received ecurrency from an exchanger? This is where it could get a little dicey. What role would X-changers or any of the others play, given the purpose of their normal business transactions?
Also agreed, that FLO has done

.
If so, under what authority?

Yes, a very interesting situation to watch play out, very different from NL in most respects though. Whereas NL was an open book regarding location, DD etc., none of that information is public regarding FLO. Probably still the same outcome though, bu-bye.

If there is an investigation, I think the e-currency providers practices may come under a lot scrutiny and be brought into question, which may result in them changing their policies and in some form of regulation, which may be good thing

Yes, "may" result in changes if we're refering to a normal business situation. In the case of EVO and XChangers, I smell only trouble. Whether it be "conflict of interest" or "co-mingling of funds", or "unethical business practices", I don't think there will be a "good thing" coming, which is why I called the situation "dicey".

Having said that, I am almost certain that some form of regulation is NOT going to be good either. If every exchanger had to comply to some universal regulations, there goes the market. Afterall, I find it kinda fun to spend EVO but get paid in Intgold, so I can OE to my Intgold card, or go from egold to EVO to OE to Paypal. . .
Still haven't figured out how I will OE funds from FLO now either. NO e-currency at all? Go figure.
Then again, guess I should not waste any time on that just yet. . .
