HIGH-LEVEL HEALTH 3
===================

Greetings again Everybody.

In this series, I am writing about the 4 Levels of Health - the 4 Levels that are absolutely vital to look after in order to build the High-Level Health that we all want.

PLEASE READ, THINK ABOUT and UNDERSTAND THIS
==========================================

At this stage, if you've been following my articles, some of you may be asking yourself, "Yeah! Learning about these 4 levels is all very well and good, but when is he going to tell us about actually CURING conditions like arthritis, and digestive problems, and lupus, and depression, and eczema ... etc ?"

ANSWER : I started telling you this from the very first word I wrote in Article 1 !!!

You see, in order to get a GENUINE cure, it is critical that you STOP concentrating entirely on ... cures! It is critical that you STOP trying to "attack" a disease, and start to CREATE GOOD HEALTH.

To use some other real-life examples : you do NOT build financial freedom merely by fighting debt; you do NOT build religious tolerance by attacking those who do not believe the same as you; and as today is 9-11 day I may as well add you do NOT establish lasting harmony and peace merely by fighting terrorism!

In the same way, you do NOT establish dynamic and joyful Health merely by "attacking" disease.

Want to "cure" your arthritis? Start BUILDING HEALTH, and the arthritis starts to clear up automatically. Want to "cure" lupus? or AIDS? or cancer? Forget about trying to "attack" it - build health, build a strong immune system, build, build, build the POSITIVE, and the illness or disease is automatically taken care of.

Please think about this very carefully.

I know it calls for a radical change of thinking, because here in the western world, in every orthodox medical system, in every government, in every school, in every family, in every business ... we have been brain-washed into "solving problems" ... and if you are really honest with yourself, look around you, at your own life and at your world, and you will see that trying to "solve problems" doesn't work too hot!

So ... STOP concentrating on what you DON'T want - concentrate and build what you DO want.

And as I said above, this is precisely what I've been encouraging you to do right from word one.

Now, the First Level of Health to build is the Physical level. The aspects to build on this, the physical, are :

1) Intake and assimilation of life-giving nutrients
2) Delivery of these to every single cell in the body
3) Elimination of "waste-products" and toxins

In Article 2 I told you exactly how to look after the Intake and Assimilation aspects. Lets take a look at the other two.


DELIVERY OF NUTRIENTS TO ALL PARTS OF THE BODY
=============================================

Once the nutrients critical to life and health have been taken in and assimilated - and you know the important "rules" about this now - it is essential to ensure that they are delivered, are carried, to every part of the body.

And the way these are carried to every part is through the blood circulation.

And the way to ensure a good circulation is to ... MOVE!

That's right ... get that heart beating and the blood pumping around your body.

Now, there are scores and scores of different exercise routines, and I'm certainly not going to get into a discussion about which one is the "best" !

Just try to achieve some routine where you speed up the pace of your heart a bit, and that you exercise just enough to "huff and puff" a little bit. This could be a formal exercise program, or it could be mowing the grass in your back garden.

And doing that just once a month 'aint gonna cut it! You need to do this at least three times a week.

"Yeah! yeah! yeah!" you mutter ... "that's nothing new. Everybody knows regular exercise is good for you"

"Yeah! yeah! yeah!" I reply ... "but are you actually DOING it?"


ELIMINATION OF WASTE PRODUCTS
===============================

The third part of building health on the Physical level.

Just as when petrol ("gas" in the States) burns in a car, toxic waste products are formed (carbon monoxide etc) which has to be "eliminated" otherwise the car will suffer severe "health problems" ... so too with our body.

A lot of different waste products form, some of them highly toxic, and if these are not effectively eliminated, then they can build up and cause severe health problems.

We can literally poison ourselves from within - the medical term for this is auto (self) - toxaemia.

The three most critical channels for elimination of waste is through :

a) The bowels
b) The lungs
c) The skin


SOME GENERAL ADVIVE
====================

The Bowels
============

It is critical to "keep regular" - in other words, go to the toilet regularly and eliminate.

Now, I don't know about other countries, but I was absolutely SHOCKED when I first came to England and found out what many of my patients regarded as "normal" bowel habits.

"Are your bowels nice and regular?" I would ask at a consultation.

"As regular as clockwork" they would tell me ... "once every three days without fail"

ONCE EVERY THREE DAYS !!!!!

Bl***y Hell! In Naturopathic Medicine, we would call that badly constipated!

By good elimination, we are talking about EVERY DAY.

Make sure YOU are eliminating this way regularly and effectively.

The Lungs
===========

Yes ... the way to look after this aspect is by good old fashioned deep breathing!

Many of the toxins are converted into gasses, and are carried by the blood stream to the lungs. So, make sure you breathe deeply so as to get a good elimination via this channel.

Of course, also doing your regular, "huff 'n puff" physical activity on a regular basis will ensure you are also eliminating through the lungs well.

The Skin
==========

The skin is the largest organ of elimination we have! Make sure you look after it.

Toxins are carried to the skin, again by the blood. Here are just a few pointers to think about :

* Anything that makes you sweat (perspire) is good news. Again, your regular "huff 'n puff" routine features here.

* Skin brushing is an EXCELLENT thing to do. You can get special skin brushes, and rough massage brushes and gloves - called a loofa - which you can use when you take a bath or shower. Excellent and highly recommended.

* It is natural to perspire - but it is toally UN-natural to STOP that perspiration. So, stop using anti-perpirants! If you have to be "socially acceptable" then allow yourself to perspire, but "disguise" the odour! Use a deodorant instead.

Naturopaths believe that (of course among other factors like excess sugar and all the toxins in our environment) one of the major factors for the big increase in breast cancer is that the normal elimination of toxins has been stopped from the excessive use of anti-perspirants by women.

Toxins from the breast are carried by the lymphatic system to the sweat glands under the arms. And we were given sweat glands for a reason! To sweat and thus eliminate toxins! When woman STOP that elimination, the toxins have no other course to take, but to accumulate and build up in and around the breasts!

Well good people, there are many, many other things that could be said. But what I have given you is more than enough to build very good health on the Physical level.

And, if you will seriously apply all that I have said so far, you WILL start to build your Physical health.

I guarantee it!

Remember, Health - genuine, whole-health, is a dynamic state of well-being on ALL the four levels. And so, in my next article, I will start to look at the vital important of the Mental Level.

Until then ...

STOP trying to "cure" and "attack" that which you DON'T want.

Concentrate on, give your attention to, and build, that which you DO want!

And do you best to gradually introduce all the advice I've written about so far.

And start to move towards more and more health.
