Good Afternoon fellow Web Life members,

I know I know, I have been away from the computer for a good 2 months. The good news is that I am finally back. You guys wouldn't believe the events which have take place (and frankly taken over my life) over the past few months.

On September 5th, I went to see my doctor for my regular check-up however this time the checkup wasn't routine. My doctor was performing some regular tests when she noticed a small lump on my breast. I had noticed the lump a few days prior to the check-up, however I had ignored it and had thrown it into the back of my mind. At first , the doctor didn't think much of it - but after performing a few tests I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Luckily, the tumor was found early and I had a good chance of being cured. Later that week I was checked into hospital where I experienced the horrors of chemotherapy. It has been nearly 2 months since I was diagnosed, and things are looking bright. The lump has disappeared and I am regaining my life. I will be returning to work next week and in a few months, will be able to get rid of this wig.

After this awful experience, I have a new found respect for life. I cherish every moment with my husband and children and pray that I will never have to go through this again.

Wendy

Wendy, we`ve missed you here you know. I would think that you have gone through a lot of anguish and uncertainty over the past few months for you and your family.

It really is good to read that things are looking good for you with such a positive prognosis.

Welcome back, and as you have said there are priorities in life, so please take things easy for a while.

That`s a great idea, Terri. I noticed in my bank yesterday that they have the little ribbons and asking for donations on behalf of breast cancer awareness.
