Web Life Database Problems - IMPORTANT!

Hi all,

This is Robyn (friendly) providing some updates on recent forum problems. It seems that for some unknown reason one of the tables for the forum database was corrupted about 12 hours ago resulting in a few issues with the forum posts.

I have managed to repair the tables so that everything is "working", including posting and viewing, etc., however in doing so, we seem to have lost quite a lot of posts.

I've been attempting to restore some of those missing posts from backups but as yet have been unsuccessful. So please, if you try to view a thread and it doesn't seem to exist any more - this is why.

Hopefully I will be able to get everything back soon, but in the meantime, please be patient.

Thankyou

Robyn (friendly)

Thanks for that, Robyn. It must be taking a lot of hard work to get things back to normal.

Hi Wendy, Robyn has been doing a great job trying to get the DB back to normal, there are still a few posts missing but she is working hard on that and should have it fixed soon

I tried to contact you a few months ago about being a WL MOD I have spoken to Geoff and we both believe that you would make a Great WL Entertainment Reporter What do you think I will try to contact you on MSNM so that we can discuss it if you want

Great News, Robyn has been able to restore all the old posts that were missing and the data base appears back to normal

There still appears to be a few problems (certainly on my computer) as the post by aqua `Biggest forums on the Net` doesn`t exist, just the title.
The same is true of some of the new threads in the `Private` Folders.

I dont think that all the posts from earlier today were merged into the updated database, so I will need to repost them
