Beware of Phishing Scam - Re FLO

I thought this warning from Debra at FLO was worth reproducing here for the benefit of any FLO members.

Quote:
It has come to our attention that there is some scam regular post mail (snail mail) going out.

We have had reports that some of our members have received "snail mail" purported to be from "SEC attorneys". The mail states that the SEC is working with FLO to get refunds to members because "what they were doing was illegal".

FACTS:

1. The attorneys office they claim to represent is really the receiver's address for another program that has settled, and has NOTHING to do with FLO.

2. Letters from "SEC attorneys" do not come from external offices, they come from the SEC office on SEC stationery.

Remember FLO never had your personal information, you never supplied your real name or real address. The only way this information could have been obtained was from exchangers or ecurrency companies that the members used and supplied that directly to them.

If you do receive something like this, please know that it is not legitimate and should be thrown away. Who ever is responsible for sending this out is trying to cause a scare and also collect personal information, known as a “Phishing Scam“.

When we have more factual information we will let you know.
