Confused By The Teachings Of Mr X And FLO

I read this post on another forum earlier, and I wondered how many FLO members would agree with this particular member which appears to have been taken from the FLO forum?

Quote:
We all have money in here. I personally have a fortune in here. I also got my family into it with some of there money right before it went south. I would say that I wish it turned out different, but I wont. Because of FLO and X, I have learned how to invest, and more importantly, that being a savvy investor is a good goal to reach for.

If it were not for X and all of his teachings, who knows where I would have been in 10 years. I know now. I will be a very wealthy and financially secure person, with or without my flo funds!!!

That is priceless to me, and to countless others that had the same experience of personal growth.
Questions I have about the above, and I`ve read comments similar to this several times by FLO members, are these:-

Quote:
I would say that I wish it turned out different, but I wont
So this member doesn`t wish it turned out differently?

Quote:
Because of FLO and X, I have learned how to invest, and more importantly, that being a savvy investor is a good goal to reach for.
Just how have FLO members been taught how to invest, if it works out that they lose all their money? And does possibly losing that money make for being a savvy investor?

That word `teachings` again but we won`t go into the religious aspect here. So, let me get this straight. FLO hasn`t paid out for months, members were promised some withdrawals which should have already been paid out by now, but that has now been put back yet again. None of those who asked for refunds by sending in emails to Debra have received anything back yet. And their Assistant Admin has just resigned. And all of that equates to becoming rich and financially secure in 10 years time?

Whoever originally posted this has certainly lost me.

I believe he was referring to the educational material provided by FLO (information about offshore structures, debt management, money management, etc.). For some that material could actually be worth a lot of money in a longer term...

There's also that another lesson that FLO may have given to many people. The one that makes them more careful and maybe a bit more savvy investors... Nothing else does that better than losing money..

It's too bad no one got that message 5000 scams ago...

"I could say, but I won't" can be viewed a couple of different ways. He's apparently thinking out loud, not actually saying he wishes things had turned out differently - kind of hedging his bets? Or just musing aloud.

Whenever my husband says "I could say something, but I won't", I say "You just did". You don't need to verbalize the actual words for me to grasp the point.

Here`s a portion of a post made by a FLO member when considering the future after Debra and Tony.
Quote:
I just hope and pray I will be smart enough and ready enough to qualify for the PP when it does start.

Now that`s not an isolated comment. I`ve read of people talking about this `invitation` to the PP, about being `good enough` to get in, to `qualify` and about being contacted `secretly` probably by Mr X.

What`s it all about? I just don`t understand how members are viewing this supposed new PP. It`s as though they have to qualify somehow to get into it. If so, who sets the rules? By what standards are they judged worthy of entering the promised PP?

More to the point, what happens to those members who aren`t qualified by whatever definition? Do they get their funds refunded, or will the forfeiture of those funds be the punishment for being unworthy of getting in to the PP?

That would be theft on the "grand" scale, I do believe.

So, when FLO departed the public scene (well X then), at what rate were the members` funds going to continue gathering interest at, which it`s assumed will be compounded?

Has anyone here actually done the maths on this? Thousands of members with hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars, all increasing in value at whatever %?

Statement by X back in September, last year.

Quote:
"We are working diligently to organize our program in a manner that
will allow us to completely remove ourselves from the ecurrency arena.

We are certain that all who desire to continue with us will be well
pleased with our efforts and certainly the results.

We realize that in order to continue we have no choice but to
restructure completely and that takes time.

We realize that this is not an easy burden to bear. Funds are working
to the benefit of the members and shall continue to do so until we have
structured everything as necessary.

Please be patient. As I stated previously, 'We Will Prevail'".

Xavier
So many questions, still no answers forthcoming.

Comment made by a FLOer.
Quote:
It's just that a lot of us are not used to an Admin. like Xavier who really gets things done and not like the old HYIP's admins. who just say "the Hell with it" and walk away with our money.
Oops! So X hasn`t walked away with members` money? Somehow I think that come March a certain realization may dawn.

If this FLO member is being truthful with this post, I feel very sorry for him/her, but I can`t help asking why oh why?
Quote:
Myself I will be in debt for as many years I can think of as my $37,500.00 investment in FLO was from loans and credits and right now with Interests has scalated to $45,000.00 and I can bearly pay $500 a month and that's sacrificing basic needs like food and clothing.

Posted in another forum in the FLO folder, the heading of this article is

Profile of a Sociopath

http://home.datawest.net/esn-recovery/artcls/socio.htm

The suggestion is that to a certain extent Mr X fits into this category by virtue of the definitions listed in this article. What do you think?

My guess is that all scammers are at least marginal sociopaths in that they have no sense of right vs wrong and no real remorse over the pain and suffering they cause others. They seem to find the effect on their victims amusing not distressing. They appear to lack compassion for others but expect everyone to be understanding if they have a problem.

The information in this link is very appropriate; consider X-man, Juliano (GV), now the IT gang, William Louden; many other online scammers or con artists - all utilize some, if not all the components of the "sociopath" by this definition. The most important of these as it relates to 'online relations' :
Quote:
Since they appear apparently normal, they are not easily recognizable as deviant or disturbed

I'd say the playing field IS online for this sort - greatly increased time to work the crowd before they sense something is wrong....

I read earlier about someone who said that they had contacted 2 of the 3 hosting companies that FLO used during its time. The 3rd one was no longer in existence, or certainly wasn`t able to be contacted.

Both companies responded to the request for information concerning an 'unused' server that had been 'seized' by authorities. One hosting company said it wasn't one of theirs.

The other one`s response was, apparently, "They were never seized by any outside authority. That particular thing was simply because they stopped using a server or two and we repossessed them. In other words, they said "we no longer need them" and we said, OK, no problem. That was all. The authority seizure was not real. That was a lie."

Interesting considering that FLO and particularly Mr X made a point that they believed in telling the truth to their members.
