New Vaccine For Fight Against Meningitis

There's a new vaccine to protect people from a rare, but potentially deadly, disease. 
The government has approved the new vaccine to guard against bacterial meningitis, which tends to strike adolescents and young adults. It'll be made by a French company.
The company says a single dose of Menactra is strong enough to protect students all through their college years. The current vaccine requires booster shots.
There are more than a half (m) million cases of meningococcal disease worldwide each year and 135-thousand deaths. In the U-S, fewer than three-thousand cases are reported. Death rates are highest for people ages 15 to 24.
