****ne Wenger and Sir Alex Ferguson have agreed to put their problems behind them and call a truce following a meeting today.
The pair have been involved in a public war of words in recent weeks, with Manchester United boss Ferguson accusing his ****nal counterpart of being a "disgrace" for his alleged behaviour after the heated Premiership clash between the two sides in October.
Wenger responded by saying that Ferguson had "lost his sense of reality" as the already frosty relations between the two rivals hit an all-time low.
The FA and local police forces were worried about the effect the row may have on next month's Premiership clash between the two sides at Highbury and urged for a truce to be called.
And today, after the Premier League invited both ****nal vice-chairman David Dein and United chief executive David Gill to a peace meeting, the duo appear to have agreed to disagree.
"Public comments will be limited to pre-match and post-match analysis of the forthcoming fixture," Premier League chairman Richard Scudamore said of the upcoming February 1st clash.
He added: "The board welcome the fact that both David Dein and David Gill arrived at the meeting having already received assurances from their managers that public comments on recent issues between them cease.
"The board is keen to stress that their concern related to the personal nature of recent exchanges and would never seek to restrict the huge interest generated for one of the season's most attractive fixtures.
"The board is grateful for the full cooperation of both clubs in this matter."
FA chairman Geoff Thompson had earlier warned that he may be forced to take disciplinary action against the two clubs if there was no end to their verbal warring.
