And he thought things were bad BEFORE he parked on the railroad tracks to commit suicide.

And at the last moment he decided he wanted to live! So he hopped out of his SUV!

Oh but wait! The train hit the SUV, derailed, and killed 10 people.

Now you have something to be suicidal about buddy now that you have 10 counts of murder.

Some dudes just don't give a rats ass as to who they hurt in the pursuit of their own attention seeking antics .... These sort of stories make my blood boil !

Knew a guy that tried to off himself by shooting himself in the head.......HE MISSED !!!! ( sort of ! ) He is now one ugly SOB who feels awfully sorry for himself and is not only a burden on his family and community, but has traumatised his kids by his thoughtless and selfish actions. Everytime the kids look at him now, they relive and remember the horror.

I've talked to several railroad engineers - EVERY ONE of them, that's been with the railroad for a couple of months has hit someone stuck on, or crossing the tracks to 'beat the train' that they knew they were going to crash into. And, helpless to do anything about it. NOT a good thing...

Nightmares for some. They can see what's going to happen, but can't stop.

Sad...

I doubt that the guy thought anything else but to save his own ass, that he couldn't do it was probably a fleeting moment mixed with despair, joy and stupidity.
If he had "done it", the same result as far as the train, would probably occured. Very sad either way.
Murder? Doubt it. Vehicular Manslaughter? Maybe.
In the end I'll bet he'll wish he had "done it"...
