Software For The Stockmarkets

Does anyone have any knowledge of software that is claimed to be used to get the best `buys`/`sells` on the stock market?

I received a letter yesterday advertising a company (MCI Technologies) with a very glossy magazine.

It told me about this `very exciting` opportunity to make money on the stock market using their state of the art software.

As the figures involved to get in to this type of thing are too high for me to gamble with, I`m not really interested. I`ve done my stockmarket thing in the past, and after recent crashes I`ve completely lost my appetite for it.

But, the concept of using software in this way is new to me, and I wondered whether anyone else had used it with success? The idea of investors being able to use software may have started out in the U.S. and perhaps we`re catching up over here.

The site which gives a Demo of how some of it works is to be found at

Some of the best software that I've heard about is http://www.wave59.com/

It includes all your genetic algorithms and neural nets (you really need to read about them to really understand what they are), which are basically systems that you can design using standard indicators such as EMA, momentum and RSI and it evolves the system until it has a good money making system suited to the current market. The system is constantly evolving to the market conditions.

Also included is the far out 'astrology' methods that are based on the movement of the planets (yes, the movement of the planets predicts the stock market ). Again, this really needs to be seen to be believed.

Unfortunately the cost is not cheap, but apparently it's well worth it.

SOunds like something that might be worth looking into, at least for me, down the line. I've still got WAY too much learning to do in Forex...
However, I DO find it extremely interesting the way that some things work.
So, 'technical' analysis is feasible for the stock market, as well?
Something to keep in mind, it would seem.

Well perhaps this sort of software is something like the `big boys` use to make big bucks, I don`t know.

I just thought it might be of interest to those who do play the stock market. Whether it works or not I really don`t know.

Does any one know of a good data feed for this kind of software. I know it can be costly each month. I have used e-signal before with the use of Trade Station for trading futures.

Its been a couple of years since I have done anything. I have just set up a demo forex account just to look it over and see how things work. Would be nice to have some end of day charts just to look at so as to really see what this market is like. Looks slow moving as compared to the futures maket from what I see so far.

I was trading the e-mini Nasdaq before. If any one can help me with this , I would be greatful. New to forex.

How much does it cost?

I`ve not looked again at the exact costs, but to play with the stock market in any fashion which would warrant buying this software must mean serious numbers to make it worthwhile.

I`m glad though the site is still up. It`s a very professional looking one, and they have a `demo` page too.
