Now don`t try denying that you all watch American Idol.

Anthony`s just been voted off, so WHO`S going to win the Final?

Me, I just love Carrie, but I`ve a sneaking suspicion that Bo might pull it off. Hope I`m wrong `cos Carrie`s really nice. Oh, and her singing`s great too.

Vote in our poll for YOUR favourite.

All three have entirely different musical genres and styles, and for those reasons they each should win!

But since that won't happen, I suspect Bo might win, because he does present an appeal to rockers - something different for American Idol. Besides, I think Simon likes him, and his opinion carries the most influence with voters.

Tough call... I haven't been following, however, considering the list of previous idols: Kelly - Ruben - Fantasia... I'm with Geoff that Bo is interesting because of his different genre. On the other hand I like Vonzell because she's cute, so... I'm gonna go for Carrie, because no one I ever like wins. :P

But Simon, how could you possibly not like Carrie? Her Country and Western is fantastic.

Well, one thing`s for sure, Vonzell won`t be winning it after last night.

Just two left, Bo and Carrie.

I'm thinking Vonzell is going to do just fine; didn't Clive Davis say they were going to have a "good time making records together"?
Good for her!!!

We don`t get to see the show here until tomorrow night (Friday) so I don`t know many details about the events, other than what I got from the website earlier today.

I reckon though that anyone who really does stand a chance of success will always get snapped up by some `producer` or `agent` or someone in the music business. That certainly seems to have happened in past years with some of the best out of the top ten or so.

As it happens I`m going to have to tape tomorrow`s show as I`m going to see Neil Diamond in concert.

Bo Bice and Carrie Underwood both still have plenty of fans.

1:46 p.m. ET May 26, 2005

Carrie Underwood may have been named the "American Idol," but runner-up Bo Bice still has plenty of fans, and there's no question that both will succeed in music.

Preliminary Nielsen estimates are that 29.4 million people tuned in to see Underwood win on Wednesday night's show, up from the 28.8 million who watched last year, when Fantasia Barrino beat out Diana DeGarmo for the title.

A young woman from Oklahoma, virtually unknown only months ago, now has $1 million U.S., a record contract, a new convertible and the title of American Idol to her name.

Carrie Underwood won the show's fourth competition Wednesday night, making her the first country singer to claim the title.

She beat out Southern rocker Bo Bice, previously considered the favourite. The long-haired rocker is taking it well, though. "I think America did a great job. I think Carrie Underwood fits the bill of American Idol," Bice told MTV.com.

Despite his well-known distaste for country music, Simon Cowell said Underwood was the right choice, citing her "likeability factor."

Judge Randy Jackson said it was Underwood's rousing performance of the original song "Inside Your Heaven" that sealed the deal. Underwood said the lyrics of the song are fitting and that fate and God had something to do with her recent successes. "Inside Your Heaven" will probably be her first single. She plans to stick with what she knows best for her album — country, saying, "That's where my heart is."

Bice originally entered the contest on a bet with his mother, hoping the exposure would get him better gigs in his hometown of Helena, Alabama. He has also secured a record deal, and has a few surprises up his sleeve. "No one's really even seen Bo yet," he said. "It took me half the season to get used to not having a guitar wrapped around my neck. So I'm anxious for the fans to see what Bo's really about."

American Idols Live, featuring Underwood, Bice and other contenders from the fourth season, will play Toronto's Air Canada Centre on July 20.
