The reason why i have registered here and posting is to state everybody that we received an e-mail at this morning from our hosting company advising that our servers are under DDOS attack. Hereīs a copy of this e-mail: " This server is currently under a denial-of-service attack and it is causing web pages to load slowly or not at all. Our technicians are working hard to find ways to block the attack, but it is coming from many IP numbers so it is very hard to do. These attacks are becoming more and more common on the Internet, I don't really know why. Please be patient, we are doing our best to fix this. Your email will still work, the attack is just against apache, which manages the showing of webpages. If the attack continues for very long we will try to move sites to other servers, but that requires changing of nameservers and more downtime, so we are hoping to avoid that. So, this is the cause why our website and forum are down at this moment. We are keeping contact with the tecnicians from the host company to try to solve the problem asap so the site can be accessible. The tecnicians from our hosting company were working hard to implement the defenses against the DDos attack that caused the shut down in many sites since yesterday. We have moved our archives and databases to another servers and the DNSs were changed so now the website is up again. No information stored was lost and itīs secure. We heard that many websites were under attack at the same time and some of them still offline. This is a big trouble we must face to try avoiding more losses in the future.
