Do you have a strategy you use while investing into programs? Do you try getting into long established programs, or relatively new programs? Do you invest slowly or all at once? What types of programs do you prefer?

I`m with very few HYIP`s nowadays. I have never put thousands of dollars into any program, and I never will.
If I look at a newer program I do it because I want to satisfy myself that it`s likely to be around for a while, not because I want to get in early because it`s a ponzi. The newness of the program isn`t of paramount importance to me, the integrity of the Admin is.

I like some of the Sensa Trust programs, I think they are fairly transparent in how they make their profits. Also, fx-Vision has a good reputation, although getting any response to queries about the program is often difficult to obtain.
There are also a few outside of Sensa Trust which also seem pretty solid, and the `Proven Performer` folder contains a couple of those.
As for clear cut ponzis forget it, I`m not interested, whether they are the sky-high rate ones, or those of a more modest type. Although I never put much in to any program, I`ve no intention of throwing my money away, which often happens with the scammers today.

I prefer proven programs that have been around for some time. I always strive to get my seed money out first (I've put sometimes a thousand or more in and the last 5 major programs I was in I got me seed money out and then some profit) and then look for other programs while that one is still working for me. Another thing to remember is that no matter how solid a program is today it can fail and be gone tomorrow. Many programs also go thru growing pains and other kinds of problems such as PIPS and GINS but that doesn necessarlly mean that they are scams either.
Some of it is common sense, but there are some good iideas there too.

My strategy is a bit hard to follow as I don't follow any specific formula. Rather I just go with my gut on most programs. In general, I guess I tend to invest between $10 and $100 in new hyips, up to $250 in established hyips and over $250 in large hyips which have been around for a while.
I also try to avoid hyips which are experiencing any sorts of problems, whether it be DDOS attacks or delayed withdrawals. It is always rare to see a hyip pull through a DDOS attack or recover after a few days (or months in PIPS case) of not paying.
In addition to this, I will be using Talkgold's new rating site when choosing new investments. It's nice to finally see a rating site that cannot be cheated.

I would have followed the idea of putting more money in "established" hyips, but after Nova-Lights, it's kind of hard for me to justify that line of thinking. I got into Sync-Invest realizing that that was "iffy" and that they had been around probably "long enough." I o/e'd my seed money ASAP and got $1.32 in profit before they, um, whatever they've done.
I'm generally leaning toward trying to find the "winners" as they come online (or as I find them, not too far into their existence) and put money in at the beginning and go from there. I've made mistakes continuing to "feed" a hyip over time, and I'm starting to believe the folks who say hit it hard at the beginning.
And going with your gut, as Luxor says, is sometimes the best measure after all is said and done.
