You know how sometimes you get sidetracked and move from one page to another when you see a link to something that sounds interesting?
That`s what happened when I eventually reached this site (which BTW for you Americans is probably something you are very familiar with).

Interesting idea, much better than taking it down to the scrap yard. At least somebody gets to benefit from it.
