This follows as part of an extortion attempt by some hackers to get us to pay protection. The following was received some days ago. Quote: Dear Privacy Plan. You have 24 hrs to send USD 100 to E-gold acc number: 2365651 . If we fails to receive this during the next 24 hrs, we will be launching Massive Distributed Denial of Service Aattack against you. After which, deactivation fee for DDOS attack will then be USD 200. If you think if this is a joke,you can ignore it. You have just 24 hrs as we mentioned. If you think you are safe, think again, Microsoft and SCO wasn't spare when mydoom virus was attacking them. They had to repoint DNS to localhost.
