msn Messenger Upgrades

Does anyone know the URL for msn Messenger upgrades?

Is it this one -

I rec. that URL via msn messenger saying that my msnm needed an URGENT SECURITY UPGRADE

I am not sure if it is for real or not 8-[

Just being cautious

The text version of the URL you posted is OK.

Of course someone could send you a link with any text they want and have the underlying URL as anything else they want. So you MUST ALWAYS CHECK the url that the link is going to send you to.

In IE its easy just look at the status line, dunno about messenger, but you can always highlight the text and copy it (NOT copy shortcut though) and paste into an IE window.

I have never ever had messenger ask me to apply a security update to date I would be more inclined to go to the MSN home page and get the latest messenger from there which would eliminate any unsecure feeling about this update
