For some reason our software has been making false internal deposits and crediting members accounts with 1,000\'s of dollars that does not belong to them. Some members have submitted withdraws for these unearned funds, and because I was unaware of the problem a few thousand dollars was paid out to them.

I have emailed out tech asking him to take a look, and from this point on if you try to make a false withdraw or if you had been sucessfull in receiving one, your account will be closed, your e-gold account will be, or has already been reported to e-gold, as well as your ISP.

If anyone see\'s something wrong with their account please email me right away.

All withdraws will now be checked for assure they are legit, this will slow the process down some, but will make sure no one is rewarded for being a snake.

Before we receive another batch of emails I want to set the record straight...

The account \'Hijackings\' that occured yesterday are not a result of someone hacking into GSIs database. They occured becuase individual members failed to use differant password and username combinations when registering at other HYI sites....period.

GSIs data is secure, no one has, and no one will \'hack\' our system. We have every known security measure in place, and I make it a point to check our system many times throughout the day.

The only thing that these latest \'hijackings\' have done is make me angry. The biggest effect they will have on GSI is that withdraw requests may be completed a few hours later than normal, nothing more.

As in the past I thank all our members for their support, and if you have any questions feel free to respond directly to this message.

Effective immediately in order to have your withdraw request approved and processed you must send a copy of your original deposit confirmation from your listed e-gold account to me via our support page. Please include your GSI username.

If I do not receive this information your withdraw will not be completed. I know this is a pain, but until we get to the bottom of this problem it is manditory.

I need a copy of the entire confirmation from your e-gold history, simply highlight it by dragging your mouse over the text, copy iy, and send it to me.

Once it is received I will process the withdraw. If you have submitted a withdraw today, and it has yet to be paid, please submit the info as well.

Hey droesparky, what's the problem, they are only trying to safeguard the investors money and also get to the bottom of this malfunction in the payout software .

The only jinks we have is the displeasure of some unsavoury members that new they hadnt earned the amount their account stated.

But still withdrew the amount instead of just letting GSI admin know about the Gliche in the software.

This is the only reason that they are asking for information from the real investor of the account and it is only a temporary measure which has been put in place.

This way they can recheck the account before allowing the withdrawal of funds and stop someone from stealing other peoples funds.

(14 September, 2003 1:50 AM)I have simplified the withdraw process slightly, in order to have your withdraw completed you MUST follow these rules:

1 - Request your withdraw as you normally would via your control panel.

2 - In the comments section please include:

A: Your E-Gold Acct #
B: Your GSI Username
C: A copy of your ORIGINAL deposit from your e-gold history, the acct number should match to the number given for withdraws.

If you have made numerous deposits, I only need a copy of one of them, from your e-gold account, NOT from inside your GSI account.

ONLY send the information when making a withdraw request.

If you have any questions please let me know, understand my response time may be slower than normal.

I have now made it impossible to change your e-gold account number from inside your account, I must do it on my end.

If you cannot access your account, give me your information and I will update everything accordingly.

This makes it ever more important for all members to include the information requested when making a withdraw. Again NO withdraws will be excepted without it.

Hey Droesparky
You didnt give me an implication or thought like that , I was just trying to instill a little confidence into your thoughts that you are not a jinx.

In this arena it sometimes makes you feel ,that all you are doing is making the wrong decision at each turn you try to make.

Just keep on doing what you are doing and it will come eventually the hardest part is growing your portfolio correctly and once that is done you are on the road to better wealth.

Nearly ALL programs have problems at some point. One of the key factors in my opinion is how a program deals with the problems.
I'm happy with GSI's response so far. It may be a little extra work on my part to request a withdrawal, but if it helps everyone in the program to be a little safer, in my opinion it's worth it.

I AM glad I'm not on the other end of all of the emails and withdrawal requests that are now being placed.

I've seen several 'scares' in programs that I've been in over time.
IF I've done the research on a program, and am satisfied, I know at least for me it's tempting to submit to the 'knee jerk' reaction and panic. However, I have to take time to ask myself why. IF I've done my 'homework', and convinced that I've done all I could correctly, and have only spent funds that I could 'afford to lose'.
(I hate that one too!), then am I going to go with my original decision, and let it ride, and watch to see how the program deals with the problem, and then make an OBJECTIVE evaluation of the situation, or am I going to second guess my OWN decision on where to place funds. When I can get to that point in my thinking, I know I'm on the right track. Business, rather than emotions.

Don't know if this makes sense to anyone, but it's usually what goes through me when I see something happening.

Enjoy your day,
Jeff

My deposits are still with GSI, and so far the program appears to be handling things well (my opinion).
