Enjoy Geoff.

And don't forget, if you are carrying a hip flask of whiskey (or milk), you will have to drink some of it in the presence of the security before you board the plane. ...Cheers!

Wow, will they let you do that?? I'm leaving by jet plane on Thursday, and I am trying to learn what I can/can't carry on. Now the flask idea has merit!

Last time I flew, I was given more problems than I can imagine. I was told that my toothpaste was not allowed, and that I couldn't carry on my water bottle. It really was unpleasant.

The worst part about it is that they take away the water you brought from home, and force you to buy the incredibly overpriced water once you are in. I wish they would go back to the old way of verifying water. They force you to drink it: something I was very much willing to do.

Yes, that makes sense. I don't understand what's the problem to do it again, noone would drink if it is some explosive
For someone like me who drinks a ltter each 3-4 hours its really a need to have a ot of water with them

Some of the restrictions have now been relaxed in the UK, though fluids are still on the `watch` list.

I suspect that suicide terrorists would not care what they drank.

Posted by: forwardone

True, but if they killed themselves before getting on the plane that would defeat the object.

On my last trip, they took my ice tea, bought on the concourse. Wouldn't have been so bad except they don't serve ice tea on the plane.
Since then, restrictions have also been loosened, and bottled water or other beverages that have been bought on the concourse are now OK to bring on board. (I think this applies to only unopened bottles). I don't know what they are doing with other beverages served in cups, (like tea) bought from concourse vendors. I'd imagine those vendors are doing everything they can to serve from containers that are approved on board.

It really is a shame what the terrorists have done to our world. I remember the first time I was on an airplane. The ****pit doors were wide open, and the flight attendants were bringing everyone who was interested up into the ****pit to see what things looked like from their view.

Times have changed, and I fear that it is only going to get worse.

oops I guess the word "c0ckpit" isn't taken too kindly by the system.

Yes that`s the filter coming into play though it`s probably one we can let through in future.
