There are obviously lots of words that we as individuals will never ever use in our lifetimes. Here`s one I don`t recall every using in written or spoken language. Heretofore which to me is quite an olde English word.

But, when I looked this one up on the Internet I came across quite a lot of instances where the word hereforeto was used, and in the cases I looked at it seemed to be in place of the correct word heretofore. Hereforeto isn`t in my dictionary, in fact as far as I`m aware no such word exists.

The adverb heretofore has one meaning:

Meaning #1: used in negative statement to describe a situation that has existed up to this point or up to the present time
Synonyms: so far, thus far, up to now, hitherto, as yet, yet, til now, until now
