fiactive SCAM

Beware of this Egold scam. They have just removed all my money from my E-gold account. The Egold payment page is faked - it starts http and not https.

I made the mistake of not checking this very basic thing and when I felt suspicious at the end of the transaction as the final page didn't look right, I then signed into Egold and found all my money had gone. Every last cent cleaned out!

This is their web address.
You can easily check it out yourself by signing up and trying to make a spend to their program.

Make sure you tell all your contacts.

Thanks for letting us know about this scam. Does e-gold know about this one?

Yes, I have informed EGold.

I have now had it confirmed from Egold that it indeed was a fake page and the money was taken from my account by fiactive....Here's the transcript of their email.....

We believe you are correct and have entered your account information at a
fake e-gold site. Please review the security recommendations listed on the
e-gold security page on the e-gold website.

We have investigated and blocked account number 3545619 from receiving any more e-gold payments. Unfortunately we will not be able to refund your
money because all e-gold spends are final and not reversible as stated in
the e-gold account user agreement. e-gold is also contractually prohibited
from freezing e-gold accounts or releasing e-gold account information in the
absence of a court order or subpoena. You might want to consider obtaining
some combination of help from a legal professional or law enforcement to
obtain a court order, if the size of your loss warrants expenditure of your
resources (time and money) to resolve.

e-gold Abuse

This is very unfortunate, but in the same way, I had my account hacked a few years ago. E-gold really needs a hologram or something along those lines that is readily recognizable and hard to reproduce to prevent these things from happening.

What pisses me off about Egold is that the same scammers -fiactive - have obviously been able to open multiple accounts and are now stealing from people's Egold accounts using a different numbered Egold account - until that one is frozen and they go on to the next one - etc, etc,....

This is the current Egold account they are using - 3284596

Egold state that they cannot freeze accounts without a court order even when they know that particular people/companies are stealing from one account and placing their ill-gotten gains into other multiple accounts. Basically they are ignoring this activity and saying, by their lack of action, that it is ok for them to do this - and why?
I am not suggesting this for a minute but E-Gold get transaction fees for every transaction don't they? It is to their advantage in many ways, for this illegal activity to continue.

I, for one, will be glad when eventually, the internet is taken seriously by the authorities and people are actively prosecuted and gaoled for stealing what amounts to billions of dollars every year!
