Default Additional Quiz

Ok, a few days to go until the start of our next Trivia Quiz, so to fill the gap let`s have another one, no prizes, just for fun.

We`ll continue the theme of detective`s associates.

Here`s the only clue I`m going to give for the WEEK. Still just one answer per day.

Think books, TV.

So, WHO am I? (and it isn`t anyone who`s already been mentioned so far in Trivia Quiz 30)

For a change, this time I`ll answer any questions put to me to the best of my ability.

Geoff

Default I have just rolled the ball...!

Bertha Cool

P.S:
If that isn't correct, then here is a question:
Male or Female?

jojo, not Bertha Cool. The answer to your question is male.

One of the all-time great mismatched team-ups in detective fiction. Grade A Extra Large widow BERTHA COOL, the head of the B. Cool Confidential Investigations, isn't overly concerned with ethics. "I'll handle any disbarred lawyer," she says, and that she will.Fortunately, she finds her match in DONALD LAM, who shows a delightful aptitude for bending, twisting, tweaking and otherwise subverting the law, while Bertha tends to just out and out break it. As she puts it, Donald is "a little runt, but he's brainy."
My `investigative` powers came up with this about Donald Lam, an associate of Bertha Cool.

Not right, jojo, but as I`m in a generous mood, here`s another clue- Think policemen.

Don`t forget too that you can ask me questions on this one, and, since it`s just for fun (aren`t they all) you can have 3 guesses per day.

From what I remember of Starsky and Hutch they were pretty much equal, not just in rank, but in what they got up to.

Now the clue to this Trivia is referring to an associate so think of someone of inferior rank.

It was only 1 attempt earlier ...

Magnum? Under Higgins?

I usually win the free stuff or a trip to Lourdes, only if I'm willing to walk.

Sorry crocnot, Tom Selleck and associate aren`t the ones.

Remember the clue about being policemen, not P.I.`s.

No jojo, not Pascoe.

As there is a choice of two associates to the main detective (one left in a career move within the police force, and someone then took his place) here`s the first initial of the surnames in order of appearance.

S & T.

Somehow I think this one should have been my main quiz. I reckon it would have lasted the full week.

This was admittedly quite hard. The answer was either Gavin Troy, or Dan Scott, who both played Detective Sergeants with Detective Inspector Barnaby as the boss. The series on TV? Midsomer Murders.

(In my previous post I said their surnames began with S & T, but it should have been the other way round chronologically).

Next weekly trivia quiz starts tomorrow.

http://geocities.com/televisioncity...76/midsomer.htm

The series is filmed almost entirely on location in the beautiful Chilterns area of Buckinghamshire and the neighbouring counties of Hertfordshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Surrey. See my locations pages with over 150 original photographs for further information! Coming soon, 'Secret locations'?

34 episodes of the series have been shown in the U.K. by I.T.V.
