Got this info from Rainier, one of the admins of HYIPDiscussion and HYIPInvestment. Both sites are under DDoS attacks. That explains why the site was inaccessible yesterday. If you are able to log in to site, you might find it slower than usual. Bear with us while the admins work to bring the site back to normal.

These DDOS attacks are becoming wild! And on a forum, too.

WL has, in the past, suffered a time period of about 5/6 days down due to DDoS. Hopefully though that won`t be the case for these sites.

We have now improved our security.

We can only hope. I think I'd go visit and post at MOG first while waiting for HYIPD to be back up

I`ve heard that there are various companies which will provide protection against DDoS attacks. I `ve also seen wildly differing prices for their services. Nowadays, though, it seems that it`s almost essential to have for the sites where they get lots of visitors, or of course those dealing with finances and the like.

Here`s one such site I read about, but I don`t know how good they are.

Well, I guess I'll just keep checking the site and wait till it comes up. I'm sure that Steve will look into protection against DDOS attacks in the future.

As to Steve's email add, I have no idea since we usually communicate via PM in the forum.

It's been three days (or four?) now and HYIPD is still down. Must be a big DDoS attack indeed.

Just a question, Geoff, is Web-Life protected against severe DDoS attacks? I read in TG that you have to pay hundreds of dollars a month just to get DDoS protection.

That`s a question that probably Ed or Robyn (friendly) is better able to answer. They are more on the `techie` side than I am.

I did read a while ago that we had better protection, but to what level I really don`t know.

Steve told me by ICQ that HD forum is under massive DDos and hosting doesn't have protection from DDOS. They hope to get back soon.

Lets wait and pray.

I agree with hardlyworkin, should something happen to Web-Life, I think it's a sign for me to take a breather first out of the HYIP arena. Or I can always go to MOG or TG for a change..

Without any feed back from HD?

Giz, with all the stuff that is going on in the HYIP arena now, DDOS attack on fourms, Pips forum closeing, Gins problems with the CAD and YMMSS cycle time problems I really think it is time to take a break from HYIP'S for awhile and just stay active in the forums. I do go to TG when I need a laugh though.
