About This Game

The Fat Bear Society, a studio consisting of 2 producers, 5 artists, 5 engineers, 4 designers, and 2 musicians, worked for 28 weeks to deliver Echo of the Last Light. This 3D action-adventure puzzle game was created in a simulated-studio environment at the Graduate Games Lab at the University of Utah, but the project is 100% student-run and student-owned. For a few of us, this is a first-game-shipped! Please set your expectations now, and be blown away by our incredible non-profit project!

The worlds of light and dark are in danger. Will the creatures of the light be the key to saving your homeland in the dark? Journey with your new companion to discover how you can save the world while fending off those who would harm you and your companion.

With your loyal companion, face off against enemies who would do you in! Your companion is smart enough to not need immediate instructions; it will automatically defend and follow you. Additionally, you can communicate with your companion by letting it know what you need: attack, target a specific enemy, and move to a specific spot.

Using magic, your companion can shift between the planes of light and dark. Furthermore, you will have a limited window into those planes. With this ability, you can find hidden objects and weak points! This can help you progress through puzzles and combat, and eventually, will help you save the world!
